You get what you pay for. And apparently I paid for the open box, the lack of hardware, and (oh how kind) pre-brushed screws. I would return it but I wouldn't want anyone else to receive it (because obviously what I received is a return that wasn't tested as 'new' before resending. Despite all that would be this lovely table and would have been extremely easy to put together if all the hardware was there and the previous owner hadn't removed all the remaining screws My rating is based on a lack of quality control not a lack of quality This is a good table for the price.
