Review on Yellow Brick Road Unrefined Butter African by Denise Francis

Bought to use in my homemade cold rolled soap. Haven't used it yet but I have to say I'm fairly familiar with unrefined shea butter and this product seems to live up to expectations. Its texture, color and smell are exactly as they should be and after weighing it on my scale it weighs exactly 16 ounces (1 pound) (without packaging). The item is as described and the price was extremely reasonable (considering I previously paid $6 for just 6 ounces, I'm very happy with the price of this item). I don't see any problems with this product and I'm sure it will work great for my soap recipes. Will definitely order again if needed. UPDATE: This unrefined shea butter is the real deal! I don't know why anyone would pay more for the same product when it's the highest quality shea butter. I used it in my cold soap recipe tonight and it behaved just like the more expensive stuff I spent my money on (because it's the same). I had no problem going to the dollar store and buying a jar to carry out of my bag so I will definitely be buying shea butter from this company again. Very happy with this high quality, genuine product! Especially since I now know I can buy it at such a fair price for the quantity sold. And just so people know, if you've never used raw, unrefined shea butter before, no, it doesn't smell "nice," and that's okay (though I love its earthy smell myself!). I've seen a lot of low reviews for this product just because it smelled "disgusting" or "awful". For first-time users of raw shea butter, the smell might not be what you would expect, or a little off, but I guarantee this product smells EXACTLY how it was supposed to smell (at least my order did). I think people are getting so used to using heavily scented beauty products that they get a little confused when they realize that nothing straight from nature smells quite like synthetic. You'll get used to (and even love) the smell as you make the switch to all natural products, and if you use these for homemade soap, no, the smell won't transfer to your soap, especially when used in combination with Essential becomes oils that work great with shea butter!
