These lamps were just what I needed to add more light to my closet shelf where I have a small safe. However, since this is a walk-in closet, which is already well lit (with the exception of the safe), the light doesn't detect movement. I wanted the light to detect movement all the time, regardless of the lighting. You can see my solution in the attached pictures. I originally tried to paint over the area with black but for some reason it didn't work, maybe I'm missing something. Anyway, the duct tape worked great and was easier to work with in this limited space. I also used a small piece of tape to block the front of the motion sensor so it doesn't activate if you just walk into the closet, you really have to crawl under the shelf to find the safe combination. I bought 3 of them. These lights and this method have worked for me on all of them! I hope this helps other people with similar needs.
