I have been using Dobie sponges for many, many years. I've tried a similar generic product on occasion but it seems to fall apart quicker. I sanitize them by placing them in the dishwasher's cutlery holders and that seems to do a great job of getting rid of any food debris stuck in there. As I ordered more items online during the pandemic, I found it cheaper and easier to buy in bulk at Revain than at the grocery store. I love that they can be used on non-stick cookware, but they do a great job of keeping food stuck to anything. They don't stink until they're worn out. I have found that they wear out faster when my son or husband uses them; You need to rub harder or use them on rough objects like a grill mesh. But you won't hear me complaining that you have to buy them more often when I don't have to wash pots and pans! When they're ready to get away from doing the dishes, I use them to clean floors, bathtubs, cars, trash cans, flower pots, whatever.
