Like most people looking for a nail brush, I'm always looking for the right balance between hard and soft bristles. I've had my fair share of ridiculously soft bristles driving me nuts, so I gave them a try based on reviews of them being a good average choice. no These are crazy tough scrubbers. Also, they are huge. They are too aggressive to use for normal hand washing and nail cleaning. I can tuck the bristles under my nails, but they don't slide around, they sting and scrape the skin. They would definitely rip my cuticles if I tried to brush them with those bristles. You're probably not far from being eligible for this torture method of piercing the nail bed under the nails. Obviously my fingertips are a lot more elegant than I thought. I literally started using them to clean the bathroom while cleaning. They are also useful for cleaning calloused heels. But they're too hardcore for me to brush my nails. Maybe if you are a mechanic or have heavy grease and dirt stains and high pain resistance + hard skin on your hands they are effective.
