I bought 2 of these for my standard poodles. Based on the sizing chart both should have fixed a 4XXL but my larger 65 lb dog didn't fit him. Too short in the body and the hood covered the neck so the leash hole was too far back. So sent it back and got 2 sizes bigger just to be on the safe side. It can also cover most of its body. My small standard is 48 pounds. and he was perfect for her. It was very nice for her. I'll be out in our van for quite a long time, which means I'll be walking in the rain many more times. Their coats hold water and make such a mess that I figured I'd try to do something to soften the water that was seeping in from their walk. It is well made and a beautiful jacket.
