Review on Xiaomi Mijia Rotary Electric Shaver by Janis Janis ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The product is faulty in some way, I definitely won't buy it again.

Previously, I spent a significant amount of time using the Panasonic ES-LV61 foil shaver. Shaving with a rotary razor is something I would like to experiment with. I was well-versed in the benefits and drawbacks associated with rotary shavers before conducting the experiment, and I was prepared for it. Feeling just a little bit ashamed by the fact that Remington was involved in the creation of this razor. In spite of this, rifles from the 19th century were a significant improvement than razors from the 20th century. Impression immediately after the first use: design, unusual and stylish; uncomfortable ergonomics, although you can adapt to it; an extremely inconvenient cleaning process after shaving - the block of knives does not recline, but is hardly torn off from the head, there is a risk of damage. Impression immediately after the first use: design, unusual and stylish; uncomfortable ergonomics, although you can adapt to it. Impression immediately after the first use: design, unusual and stylish. During the course of approximately two weeks, both the skin and the razor blades become accustomed to the rotary blades and the ergonomics of the razors themselves. Once a month had passed, it was time to conduct the initial assessments. When compared to the foil razor, the duration of the shave has increased from three to four minutes to between six and ten minutes. The level of cleanliness achieved by the shave was comparable to that achieved with the Soviet rotary razors Kharkov and Berdsk but was noticeably lower than that achieved with the mesh razor. Even when he had just finished shaving, there was very little stubble left on his skin. Despite this, there was a bright spot: the quantity of hairs that have developed into the epidermis of the skin has significantly decreased. As is customary for contemporary electric shavers, a single charge of the battery is sufficient for a week's worth of everyday shaving. Regrettably, that was the last time I had a good impression of the person. Literally speaking, chenez rose to the surface after three to four months and started to increase the vibration of the shaving head. This is because of two flaws in the design: the deterioration of flat metal springs used in the suspension of "floating" knives and the rapid wear of the five-sided heads of the knife drive shafts. Both of these issues contributed to the problem. Self-repair in the form of soft pads on the heads of the drive shafts gave an insufficient and fleeting effect in the fight against vibration. This was because the pads were placed incorrectly. For the past six months, the quality of the shaving has deteriorated even further. Because of this, a year after making the initial purchase, I was forced to give up on this razor and instead invest in the Philips AT890, which is superior to its predecessor in every conceivable way. My verdict is that it is not advisable to make the buy. To this day, Xiaomi has not mastered the art of producing electric shavers.

Pros
  • design Xiaomi brand (very subjective and not for everybody) resistance to water use
Cons
  • exceedingly poor quality of the shave, controversy about the compromise of ergonomics for design, poorly planned design of the shaving head, extremely low shaving head life, and the bother of cleaning the shaving head
