Review on Xiaomi Mijia Rotary Electric Shaver by Mateusz Swierczynski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very pleased with this purchase, will recommend it to everyone!

My first electric razor was a mesh Soviet ERA 100. Then one of the most expensive mesh brown. I tried to take on Ali a cheap rotary for a thousand. A week later, the blades became dull and began to simply tear out the hair. But a bunch of nozzles and there is a trimmer nozzle, which I use. Then there was an expensive rotary Philips, and now a rotary xiaomi. Rotary is more convenient. Less noise and vibration. In the mesh holes, and in the rotor gap, into which curly hairs pass more easily. Mesh shave worse overgrown stubble. Good for daily shaving. But any electric razor does not shave perfectly. Problems with regrown and curly hairs, on the neck and cheeks. You have to spend additional small efforts in some places. But once I spent the machine and you can not look for missed hairs. Xiaomi does this better than any of my other electric shavers. In short, this is a very high-quality razor 3-4 times cheaper than Philips of the same class, but at the same time much better in quality. HIGHLY advise. Ali costs almost the same as in Hong Kong. The difference is 200-300.

Pros
  • VERY high quality product at a very low price. I usually use the Philips RQ1145 rotary razor. Spare nets for her are more expensive than a new razor from Xiaomi. Philips motor power is small. Often, in order for the blades to start spinning, you need to remove the nets in working condition, and then put them on without turning it off. Lubrication with machine oil improved the situation, but not dramatically. Xiaomi does not have such insanity. Everything is great here. It shaves just like the expensive Philips and even better. The working size of the holes in the nets is almost 40% larger than that of the Philips and therefore shaves faster. Rinsed under running water in 3 seconds when switched on. Works a little quieter. The weight is the same. More capacious battery. The blades under the nets are made in Japan.
Cons
  • No trimmer and no power supply. Just a stand with a wire sticking out. Could make a USB connector and a separate wire. Which means you can't keep it up. The wire gets in the way. But the razor is pretty stable. Center of gravity below. The body, like a rubbery soft touch, I do not like. I prefer smooth plastic. Appearance is worse than Philips. The instruction is only in Chinese, with the method of disassembly and battery replacement.
