Works out of the box. The hardest part was finding all the spots to place the LED strips. PROS: Very, very bright LEDs Long cables are easy to connect, easy to turn on and off. Keychain is good. CONS: 1) The tape on the back of each light isn't really meant for anything. I had to buy gorilla glue and add 2 drops under each led strip. Since then the light has not moved at all. 2) The connections between the wires are good, but I know they will fall apart in high heat over a long period of time. I had to put thermal foil on the connectors to make sure they didn't wear out faster than the wires. 3) The brake light cable is a cable and my bike has no brake cable. its separation between the right and left turn signals.
