I've tried all kinds of cheese graters, grinders and files. Most of them take a lot of time and work and my feet are still rough. Even after trying different files, my feet were never as silky soft as I would have liked. This is the first crystal file I have ever tried to flatten my feet. Wow it was so gentle especially compared to the grater and no effort was required. In a short time, my legs became smooth and soft, like a baby's. It was so easy and effortless with great results. Just hope the file doesn't wear out that quickly. I tried to find one that says it's permanently etched into the file so it doesn't wear out. Others said they had no problem, one person said. So I guess time will tell. I just wish that fact was mentioned because I would feel better and not have to worry about a replacement. I simply washed the file with some liquid soap and an old toothbrush. The file came out brand new and ready for my next pedicure. I'm not scared like I used to be. I wish I had bought the crystal leg file sooner. Also bought for nails. The same great results.
