Review on ๐Ÿ’ป White Perixx PERIDUO-212W Wired Mini Keyboard and Mouse Set with USB Connection by Eric Glup

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Inexpensive wired mini keyboard, but with an important problem!

I am good at touch-typing and have a very large collection of computers (over a hundred at last count!). Some may consider me an expert when it comes to computer products, including keyboards. I wanted a wired one so I wouldn't have to turn my keyboard off and on all day (usually to save battery) for the one PC I use the most. If I hadn't had other computers, this review could have gotten five stars. . The problem is that I need standardization in the layout of the keys so that there are no problems when I work on a different computer each time. Unfortunately, this Perixx keyboard uses a non-standard layout, which is what mini keyboards do, to save space. Unfortunately, that's almost fatal in this case, because to the right of the slash (/) key, where the right shift key should be, is an up arrow key. Accordingly, I often press the up arrow key when typing instead of capitalizing. Like I said, I would certainly learn to live with it IF IT WAS MY ONLY COMPUTER, or if I was HUNT AND PICK (instead of touch typing). On any given day, I'll be playing or working with half a dozen or more of my 120 computer-class computers and devices, and I wonder if I'll ever be able to learn how to use this keyboard without losing the touch typing comfort on all my others Machinery. . Even if I could, is it worth fighting this tedious deviation? If this is going to be your only keyboard then I consider it a very good machine, 4.5 stars out of 5 (which rounds up to 5). If you don't use touch typing, you probably won't have a problem. But if you're dealing with multiple computers and using touch typing, I'd caution you against stepping in for this anomaly. I only wish Perixx would send me another model without this problem, but I would have to ask for a return, pack it up, arrange a return, etc., all for a relatively modest amount of money back (about $16 after paying taxes). ).PS Yes, there is a wired mouse, but I have many mice.
