First of all it's a generic brand from China so don't expect great or durable quality. Another preliminary remark: I also tested a similar device from another brand, VIJANA, which I like a little better and costs 8€ less. So check it out before you make a decision. However, there will be no real haircut. It works for shortcuts as long as it hasn't been started for too long. And it's not exactly zero distance - it's close, but there's a gap of about 1mm that doesn't reach the scalp. . For big burns and manscaling it's enough for me. But it will leave some stubble so if you do the design in your head I would try something else like the VIJANA I mentioned. Don't expect a huge motor, but it has all the attachments and enough power for most side jobs - grooming a beard or goatee, grooming and trimming between haircuts, grooming eyebrows and nose/ear hair, etc. My only other complaint is that it's there is not a bag or box for storage. It has a plastic base for your attachments, which is useless - they fall out easily and take up too much countertop space for things you don't use every day. I just threw mine away and found an old bag to use as a storage bag. It's okay if you don't have unrealistic expectations. And I think it's worth the asking price, but if you want to save money and have a few minutes to shop, you can probably find an equal or better price closer to $20.
