I'm not a big home automation specialist but I have Alexa and Ring etc so I needed to control the outside lights which were inside but it would be a bit of a hassle to do with one switch to do. It was perfect, you just have to go through a short process to connect it to WiFi with the manufacturer's app and turn on the Alexa skill, then you can control it, color, schedule etc with Alexa. Not a huge premium for this kind of flexibility in an LED lamp. Post-purchase delivery is great too. Very fast. Well packed. The downside is that each bulb costs twice as much. So instead of paying once to replace a light switch, switch, or hub, you have to pay extra for a WiFi bulb each time. If LED lamps last for many years, and in a few years everything on the planet will be equipped with a Wi-Fi chip, then you've won.
