Bright light, long charge

I've only had this light for a short time, but so far I'm very impressed. I primarily ride mountain bikes and occasionally ride solo trails at night in the mountains outside of Denver. It's time to replace my old flashlight and this one won the job. I was surprised to find that it actually had two separate mounts so I could hang one on the handlebars and the other on top of the helmet. The one for the handlebars even had some rubber pieces to help with different sized handlebars. A bit tight with the handlebar mount; The nut that the screw fits into is not secured in the bracket. So if you pull the screw all the way out, it will fall out. I've seen many other fasteners like this one, but that hasn't stopped me from dropping the nut once before installing it. The rear light can be easily attached with an elastic band. I'm a little worried that this will be the first thing I lose or break. I was expecting to complain that you can only charge one of the lights (front or back) at a time, but no; It actually comes with two USB cables, so you can charge both at the same time. It does NOT come with a power adapter, but who doesn't have a phone charger these days? And I've even tried it on my computer's USB port, the charging box and the phone charger in my car, and they all charge the light. My old flashlight had a weird, unusual charging port which meant it was difficult to charge anywhere outside the home, so this USB charging was a step up for me. Very happy with the brightness. On the one night trip I've done so far I've mostly used the dimmer setting and everything has been fine. I only turned it on when I started hearing animals in the bushes and wanted to scare them away more. The only (minor) complaint I have about the light is that you can't change the focus of the beam. I've used a few of these in the past, which you could switch between a narrow or a wider angle on the fly, depending on your needs. This provides a fairly narrow spot so I could see where some people or situations needed a wider profile, but to be honest it was fine for my singletrack riding. The battery life is also impressive. My trip only lasted about 40 minutes so I left it on (the dimmer I was traveling with) and put it in another room for a while. I only turned it off when I decided to go to bed, so that night it worked for just over 3 hours and was still going strong. So I turned it back on the next night without charging and it ran for another 3 hours before turning it off again when I went to bed. The next evening the battery died so I couldn't turn it on. But it was 6 hours of use (2 settings on the dimmer) and 24 hours of storage and I still had to turn it off. In addition, with the USB charging cable, I plan to simply take the charging box with me in case I am away much longer than expected. You can even turn on the flashlight when it's plugged in, so you can just keep working with the charging case.
