Review on ROCKRIX Female Speaker Adapter Splitter by Andrew Holman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

H-Fi setup. Used to split the pre-out of the preamp.

General Thoughts (applies to all): This is a cheaper build quality than I was hoping for, but they work for what I intended without a noticeable reduction in sound quality. (or tension). I took some detail photos so you can see how the connection ends. They are of lower quality, but they are a fairly cheap solution, so "you get what you pay for". The cables are made of flexible, soft rubber, but they're not tear-resistant, so if you accidentally tug on it, the connector can come off completely. I have to say I appreciate the cables which come in two sets, one red and one black. Most RCA splitter cables split each RCA into red and black, but that doesn't make sense for my application. It doesn't matter in the end, but it's nice to have and I thought it was worth pointing out if you haven't thought about it. solve a problem with my subwoofer. I found that the output voltage at the preamp outputs of my amp was not sufficient to properly transfer the signal to my powered subwoofer. I didn't even know this was possible until I started testing several amps and found that some amps put a lot more volume out of my subwoofer than others (although it's a powered subwoofer). I connected my sub directly to the pre-out and there was a lot of voltage, so I use these cables to split that pre-out and connect one connection to the amp and the other to the subwoofer. Problem solved.

Pros
  • Split pin technology ensures a secure connection. Excellent noise reduction, accuracy and frequency response
Cons
  • There are nuances
