In general, a good lens. I have not found any problems with the assembly yet . nothing of what they write about here. Perhaps it is for now. When used with a cropped camera, it is not always possible to shoot outdoors at home, as sometimes it is not possible to move far enough or take the desired position. With FF, the angle is already wider and the purpose of the lens changes a bit. Allows you to do decent macro photography, although it is not intended for this. Overall verdict: a useful and relatively versatile inexpensive lens. Worth having in your arsenal.
- Aperture with all its consequences, price, USM and fast AF, beautiful blur, nice picture, good focal length. With FF draws better than on crop.
- With a strong excess of light at 1.4, there may be purple or red aberrations. For example, 1.4 around the moon or on a railroad track under the sun. However, at 1.8 it usually goes away. In Live mode and in video mode, autofocus sometimes rushes a little, but in normal mode everything is fine. It lathers along the edges, but is usually acceptable.
