This controller replaced an EDF5 controller that failed after 3 years of use. EDF5 began sending random control signals to HRV. ECO-Touch has a better user interface than the EDF5 it replaces. It is easier to choose the mode of operation. I wish there was an option to leave the LCD backlight on low. The backlight turns on only when you touch the screen and turns off when you make changes. If fan synchronous operation (20/60 or 40/60) is selected, the ECO-Touch touch display does not show when the fans are actually running, the VENTILATION animation runs continuously. If you are replacing the EDF5, note that the position of the old mounting screws will not match the position of the new mounting plate. They will drill new holes in your wall.
