I bought this to replace the paper filter on my 2012 CRF 250X. This stainless steel filter is well made and very well designed. When you put it next to a standard paper filter, the difference in quality is obvious. It fitted perfectly and could be changed in five minutes. The filtering area is claimed to be 200% larger and the filtering capacity three times larger. I can't comment on these claims, but given the quality of the subject, I'm inclined to believe it. Paper filters are certainly cheaper, but three or so replacements and this one paid off. If debris does get through the engine, this filter will safely catch it, while a standard paper filter can blow out. I recommend this inexpensive investment that offers excellent filtering and unlimited reuse.
