Good luck! I bought a used Dyson on Facebook Marketplace for $60 from a couple who said they had hardwood and no longer needed it. I have hardwood and cats so I vacuum a lot. The video shows exactly how to pull the hose out, no tools required. $60 + $15 portion = $75 Dyson! The vacuum cleaner works perfectly, sucks properly, repair is easy and cheap. I'm so happy!
