Let me start by saying this product has worked well for me but definitely not for every skin type. I have oily combination skin and in winter I get dry patches on my cheeks. BENEFITS - Hydration (many oils in this serum help with hydration) - Niacinamide helps with redness, blemishes and general skin tone - Really balances and firms my skin. a little CONS - it will clog your pores if you have very acne prone skin or are sensitive to condomogenic ingredients - the bottle is poorly made, the dropper is very difficult to use - the serum feels a bit sticky and can get messy with use be uncomfortable with other products before or after. For my skin, this serum did what I bought it to do. It helped hydrate and plump my skin without damaging it during the winter months. However, if my skin is more acne prone, this serum probably wouldn't work for me. While niacinamide is a great ingredient for acne-prone skin, this serum contains oils that can clog pores. I usually only use this serum 2-4 times a week when I'm feeling dry and mostly just apply it to my neck and cheeks (to avoid an oily T-zone year-round). While I've noticed that niacinamide has balanced my skin, helped with my redness, and sometimes even helped with minor blemishes, I don't think this applies to everyone. If you're prone to acne year-round with oily skin, I'd try to find a niacinamide serum without oils or condomogenic ingredients (a good serum is Glossier 'Super Pure' if you're willing to spend a little more, if not there are tons of other niacinamide serums on Revain). I have found a great use for this serum as a concealer ingredient. I mix it with water and bentonite clay so my clay masks reduce redness and don't dry them out too much. Overall, this serum is for you if you're trying to moisturize some dry patches, or if you have normal to dry skin that isn't prone to breakouts. If not, I would recommend a different niacinamide serum.
