Good quality/direct fit for my daughter's schwinn cruiser

Pros:1) Price2) Easy to install3) Direct Fit4) comes with angled allen wrench/phillips head screwdriver tool for assembly and adjustment. only tool i needed.Cons:None yet, but as with anything it is a guess on longevity--gave it 4 stars, as such. The rubber is newer but a bit softer than the old brakes, but they have not been weathered. Even if they don't last as long, at this price point not a lot of investment.

Pros
  • Finally changed pads on 12 year old bike. Big difference. Easy install.
Cons
  • Weak braking power

Replace your brake pads

I love these brake pads. I stop quickly and silently now. No more careening into intersections, brakes screaming, soiling my shorts as I stare defiantly at motorists experiencing their first involuntary enuresis and the blissful moment before the realize they’ll never have that "new car smell” again. An ample supply of shims was provided, which is good. Creeping about with your head pressed to the floor, trying to find a dropped shim should be experienced by everyone, once. If Robin is helping…

Pros
  • Easy to install. Good quality although they're made in China.
Cons
  • Cheap materials

Solved Squeal best in my review

I bought a really cheap bike from a local superstore (you know the one). It has squealed when braking from day one. Recently, I saw the brakes needed changed, so I bought these. No more squealing. I can't attest to the longevity yet, but they're at least better than the brakes that came on my bike. They're also larger, and I feel like they provide more stability when braking.

Pros
  • GOOD JOB
Cons
  • Not compatible with other brake systems

Excellent - No more screeching brakes!

These pads are easy to install as a replacement on my wife's bike. Her old brake pads made a terrible screeching sound whenever she had to stop quickly. These new brake pads work great, and they are an excellent value!

Pros
  • Easy fit.
Cons
  • Poor heat dissipation

I should have done it sooner.

You just need a hex key. If your screws are rusted and tough, spray some wd40 or grease. Give a few minutes for soak. Then it should come off to replace. It took about 30 minutes because I’m a total noob but saved me money from doing a tune up of my bike at a shop

Pros
  • Worked great on my son's bike, he is rough on it so I am hoping they last till he needs a larger one.
Cons
  • Poorly balanced

Nice brake pads for the price

Worked great for me! They were a little bigger (thicker pads) than the original ones I replaced, but the calipers are just open a little wider. Make sure you install the pads in the right direction - I had to reinstall all four! Finally nice to actually be able to stop!

Pros
  • We bought these for my sons bike. Very easy to change out the pads. Works perfectly.
Cons
  • Disruptive rattling sound

Be careful! on my review.

These are not the simple brake pads you put on a regular bike or should I say I'm not putting on a regular bike took almost a mile of riding stop and go to get them where they weren't rubbing and would still help me stop

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Lacks a smooth feel

Great value for the money!

Super easy to install, great design! the curved pad fits the wheel perfectly! I will definitely reorder this item! That's my review.

Pros
  • Skid-Proof Performance
Cons
  • Not suitable for long distances

Well worth it good for me

I wish I had done this sooner. Old pads must have been over 15 years old and used to squeak. Put these on without problems (be sure to observe difference between left and right side, which is printed on the rubber). Now both quieter and safer. Incredibly low price for what you get.

Pros
  • Parts & Components
Cons
  • Tendency to deform

Super Easy Install, Great Price

Who know it was so easy to install new bike brakes. As a new cycler, I was intimidated, but definitely knew the brakes needed to be changed. Super easy and now riding more confidently. Don't wait - make sure you are safe and your brakes are in good shape.

Pros
  • Thanks to their noise-free design, these brake pads allow for a smooth, quiet ride without any irritating screeches or squeals
Cons
  • Poor grip

Supplier sent 2nd pair

Original (1-star):Description says 2 pairs, image shows 2 pairs, package arrived with only 1 pair. It looks like I am not the only person that had this issue. For $6-7 it is not really worth it for me to return this. If you are only looking to get one pair, there are both slightly cheaper brake pads of similar quality available, as well as slightly better quality brake pads for the same price, so I would not recommend this product.Update:Supplier sent other pair. Brake pads are larger than the…

Pros
  • Arrived on time and quality way exceeded my expectations.
Cons
  • Lacks smoothness

Best bang for your buck

There is no other brake pad that is cheaper that will perform better than these. Easy to install, minimal sound, and good braking performance. I ride daily down hills and these brakes have lasted months. Will be buying again.

Pros
  • Works well, what I expected to get.
Cons
  • Too soft for heavy use

Brakes well no screach sound

The pads went on easily. Easy to adjust and most important they brake well with no screeching /vibrating sound.I used them on a tandem bike so down hill with 2 people stopping was quick and easy.

Pros
  • They are bike pads, and were easy to install and get the bike moving.
Cons
  • Not compliant with safety standards

Works well: my feedback

There are so many brake pad choices that is hard to choose. I have tried some from the big box stores and I was NOT impressed, the rubber used was too hard and did not stop the bike well. I started looking online and found these. They stop the bike well and seem sturdy. I am pleased. I have used them long enough to see how well they last.

Pros
  • These brakes work perfectly way better than the old ones I have
Cons
  • Not compatible with certain bikes

Well marked, nice upgrade

I don’t like installing brake pads but these are marked well and they include the right Allen for it to boot. Work great once on.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Insufficient power for steep hills

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pretty mediocre braking performance, but cheap

Braking performance is pretty mediocre even if you clamp down on the brakes pretty strongly. I guess you get what you pay for, although the brakes are probably not worth skimping out on given how critical they are for safety.

Pros
  • Brake Pads
Cons
  • Tendency to lock wheels

V-Brake Replacement Pads

Got these 70mm replacement pads to replace the worn-out V-Brake pads on my son's 26er mountain bike. According to him the stopping power is much better with shorter stopping distance than his old pads even when they were new. Unlike his old pads that squeals loud enough to warn other cyclists at distance in front of him, these pads do not squeal or make that gritty sound. They just do what their supposed to and do it well. Stop the bike.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Prone to rusting

Great Value Great Fit

Put these brakes on bike last night.no problem with fit or performance. They appear well made and clear instructions provided. I have noticed that some one star reviews reflect on packaging being crashed or ripped. That is definitely an revain stocking/reshipping problem as the item ships out of their warehouse. That should not reflect negatively on the seller or the product.

Pros
  • super easy to install and good quality
Cons
  • Inadequate instructions

Seem decent for a beater bike, better than old dried out pads

These feel like fairly decent rubber and installed with no issues.I have a couple bikes that I use around the property to pull a trailer and maintain some trails I built on my land. Big rocks, fifteen gallons of water to some remote garden areas, tree limbs. Since they are built from dumpster find parts I don’t spend to much on them. But during the pandemic it got hard to scrounge old pads so I splurged on these. They stop the bike. With a hundred pounds in the trailer and going down a 15% hill…

Pros
  • they are ok.
Cons
  • Not suitable for hard terrain

These did not fit, threaded stem is too short

I bought these to replace the worn brakes on my Trek mountain bike. The threaded stem on these pads is too short and the washers are too thick. With the washers in place there is barely any thread showing. When you go to tighten the nut, the threads strip. I spent an hour trying to make these fit and dropped washers multiple times just trying to get the end nut on. I ended up tossing all four pads in the trash. It was beyond the return window. I just bought the Shimano Deore/LX pads. These went

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Overheats quickly
