I was looking for studio headphones that fit my budget. Setting up a home studio can be a quick way to spend a lot of money. Your choice should be even more thoughtful if you don't want to compromise on quality and performance. It's best to pay more if you can get a huge leap in quality for a little more money, and forgo pricier hardware if the jump in quality is huge for a modest performance boost. These headphones are perfect for that. I've tried cheaper headphones from the same brand and others. The "cans" that come with other devices are meant to be taken on planes or listened to while washing the car. Others I bought separately were disappointing to say the least. Usually quite dirty, indistinguishable from the disposables that come with the kit. This includes the same brand as them but only $10 cheaper. (Thanks Revain for taking things back so easily!). I didn't expect more despite the "Pro" designation, but the sound quality blew me away. Excellent response throughout the range from low to high. You will find it difficult to distinguish them from others that cost 2-4 times more. From now on, you'll pay big to get modest upgrades. The build quality is acceptable for this price. Feels a bit cheap in places but perfectly serviceable. The pads are significantly thicker than on the cheaper models. You don't have to change them until they wear out. An excellent choice for the home studio.
