I received this blanket just before Christmas. Here in the White Mountains it reaches the younger teens and often goes into the single digits. When I opened the package it was flat and hard and if I hadn't known the 'secret' of duvets I would have been disappointed. I put it in the washing machine along with a pair of new sneakers (although it says dry clean only). (I used size 8 woman sketches). I washed the comforter and sneakers in warm water and then dried them on high heat with the sneakers on my comforter and when I took them out at the end of the drying cycle the comforter was soft, fluffy and ready to snuggle and I had clean sneakers. Cannot match the price, quality and convenience of this product. Try my trick because at these prices you have nothing to lose. Then thank me later. :)
