I tested this item as requested and the tightness was ok but bought it for the Tough Mudder competition. Needless to say, he failed the test. About 8 miles into the race I noticed my phone ringing random people and found a small hole in the plastic cover. I find it good for protecting against submersion in water and/or exposure to body moisture from training, but the dynamic movement of the event alongside sweat, mud, ice, water, falls and scrapes was felt to be too much. ad hoc. I would not recommend this product for stubborn dirt or similar events as its toughness allows it to fold and/or bend over and over again and cause cracks which moisture can allow.
