My elderly cat fell in love with this bed almost immediately because of the thoughtful shape of the box and loved the warmth of the heating pad. However, after two days of use, the bed smelled absolutely awful, like burnt plastic. The smell from the bed was so strong my cat's fur smelled strongly of plastic, and my eyes were watery and squinting from irritation after lying in bed for many hours. I could feel the heating pad in bed and it felt very hot even when she wasn't sitting up in bed. The smell appeared to be coming from the heater itself. I would not expose pets to what is released from this product as it is likely to be a health hazard due to its toxic odor. Without a heating pad, a box of pillows is definitely not worth 40 euros.
