As a relatively new golfer, I wanted to know how far I could hit my clubs. This device measured my shots and, by noting them, was able to record my typical club yards. Very important. It's also an easy way to read the distance to the green where you are from in a matter of seconds for club selection. I am presbyopic and need reading glasses - a screen based device means I will be taking my glasses off and on and off VERY often. This one, located on my wide-brimmed hat just above my right ear, just tells me the numbers. No glasses (except my sunglasses). Good product and great battery life. After 18 holes I usually have 60-70% battery left.
