It's difficult to find quality doors that are ideal for large spaces. I bought this for my hallway which is about 48 inches wide so my dogs aren't in front of the house. I had to use a smaller extension as the larger one made it too wide to fit the space. Unfortunately, with a smaller extension, the pressurized attachments almost reach their limits, which reduces durability. One of my crazy dogs flies through the gate constantly (at least once a week). The good news is that it doesn't break and I can easily put it back on, although there are some minor scuffs on the walls. I think the benefits far outweigh the problems I have with it. Doors and other rooms, I think that would be excellent.
