I wanted to use these to power a 300 LED strip. While the ports offered a decent connection when plugged in, I had to sift through a few to find a good one. Unfortunately, the cable got very hot under load. I assume that if I split the 5m strip into 1m strips everything would be fine. But to be honest I was worried about the isolation for the full track. Looking at the wire and comparing it to known AWG I would expect it to be in the 26 AWG range. As a rule, the power is not considered suitable for a longer LED strip. I see situations where I would use them again, it won't be for a strip with more than 20 LEDs.
