Review on Corning Thunderbolt Optical Cable 5.5m (18ft) for Self-Powered Peripherals - AOC-MMS4CVP5-5M20: Reliable Connectivity for High-Performance Devices by Deshaun Fisher

The cable works great and the quality is good. It's a bit tight and cumbersome to wrap/handle (because of the optical material I think) but that doesn't really bother or get in the way. I didn't measure the speed, but I didn't notice any loss in speed when archiving or transferring the several terabytes of photos that regularly go through this cable. I also noticed positively that the plugs do not get as hot as with a normal Thunderbolt cable. My only real complaint would be the price, but no one held a gun to my head and it's worth it for the extra length.
