In general everything is fine

I bought this when we go on short trips to visit family and my cat still eats on schedule. The initial setup wasn't as easy as the instructions suggest. All in all it took me two different setup sessions totaling around 45 minutes to 1 hour to get it connected to my wifi and finally it got connected when I did NOT follow the instructions. I work in IT. The camera on it is of good quality. While we're gone and I call my pet, he seems to answer. I have set up motion detection on the feeder and I keep getting motion notifications. However, when I check the camera, there is no movement. I got 35 motion alerts in 4 hours (my cat is mostly resting so it can't be). cat walks by. This thing has 2 FATAL Flaws in my book. There is no camera on the bowl and/or not in view of an existing camera and therefore you have no way of verifying that the food has actually been served. You will receive a notification that the feeding was successful. However, this does not take into account whether "nothing" was spent. The second disadvantage is that with a scheduled feeding event, there are no records or event history that you can refer to that show the animal was fed at the scheduled time. I love scheduled tasks. in technology. but they don't ALWAYS work as they should. and when this task fails my cat doesn't get any food and this is a real problem for me. All in all it's just OK. Not $120. Simply good.
