I used this unit to integrate the bluetooth function into the ceiling air conditioner of my RV. It was very frustrating to set up and took me over 2 hours to connect. I bought this product because it allows you to install hardware. I paired it with the Echo Dot and when Alexa finally found a signal I successfully turned my air conditioner into a smart device that not only recognizes Alexa but also has a wireless digital wall thermostat that acts as a hub and tells Alexa when it is regularly turn on and off to regulate the temperature in the rooms. Or I can always bypass the thermostat simply by asking Alexa to do it remotely while I'm driving home. However, before installing the thermostat, I tried to program the process in the Alexa app and lost all connections, which prompted me to purchase the thermostat. Even after restarting the device, deleting the app, and downloading it again, Alexa's new "routine" is to ignore what I'm now asking her to do. I've replaced it with another device that, when purchased through Revain, will automatically reconnect in case it keeps disconnecting.
