I have had speakers that required 20 1/4" screws. These brackets were not designed for them. They came with smaller screws to fit their smaller hole. universal."I had to buy 1/4" screws and drill a hole in them to make it bigger. After installing it, I noticed a few things: 1. The position is very tight and the bracket would limit access to the speaker wire terminals blocking if I hadn't installed them upside down. Without a retractable arm, positioning is very limited. I couldn't tilt it the way I wanted as my speakers would bang against the wall if I didn't turn them sideways. The plastic was flimsy. My satellites weigh just over 4 pounds, but they were heavy enough to bend the plastic. I would never trust these mounts to hold more than seven pounds in. They just suck to me and their "general" claim is obviously false advertising. Just put the screw size in the description and you may have better ratings. They didn't even bother to return them. They just went in the trash.
