Easy to assemble, well thought out, just right for me

I read the reviews before buying and knew I had to fold down the wall mount for my Vizio SB3851's satellite speakers to avoid the RCA cables. Installation was easy (note: to access the wall mount slots you will need to temporarily loosen and disassemble the "gimbal" screw and then when the backplate is secured to the wall, reattach the stabilizing block). They're powerful enough for these speakers, but not overpowered. There's a good range of motion to tilt the speakers in any reasonable…

Very small and overweight.

They are really small. They should not be used for bookshelf speakers. My speakers weigh 5 pounds 5 ounces and allow the back of the wall to flex and bounce. The instructions don't mention the possibility of installing them in drywall. Fittings for brick walls. I bought larger drywall hardware and it still works, but I don't think the installation is permanent. According to the instructions, it should be mounted on the wall. This is not always possible. Some buyers complain about the low tilt…

Ideal for small speakers

Great value! I needed to wall mount two Vizio soundbar satellite speakers in our break room and this was the perfect solution. The Vizio speakers are small, weighing only about a pound each. They fit seamlessly into the speaker mounts. Installing these speaker brackets was a breeze. One side required the included drywall anchors and the other side had a stud. The supplied dowels and screws were all that was needed. The kit also included two mounting screws for the speakers, but we had our own…

Flexible, restrictive and above all. NOT UNIVERSAL

I've had speakers that required 1/4"20 screws. These brackets weren't designed for them. They came with smaller screws to fit their smaller hole. universal "I had to buy 1/4" screws and drill a hole to make it bigger After installation, a few things stood out: 1. The position is very tight and the bracket would restrict access to the speaker wire terminals blocking unless I installed them upside down no retractable hand positioning is very limited I couldn't tilt them the way I wanted as my…

I bought this item to improve satellite speakers Vizio SB3851-C0 38" 5.1 channel -Soundbar (2015 model) to install. I think these brackets will also work with 40" and 54" models as the satellite speakers are the same. The brackets are made of hard plastic and are very light. It includes mounting hardware and an instruction manual. The brackets swivel and tilt so you can position the speaker at the angle you want The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I could only use these brackets on my Vizio

Great buy, highly recommend, just tweak a little.

These speaker mounts helped me. I have a Yamaha 5.1 system and the one screw that came with it fits my speakers perfectly. They hold them securely, and the mounts behind the speakers are very immodest and offer good directional adjustment. To top it all off, the price was great. There are two SMALL issues that stand out for a 5 star hotel. #1, the screw on top to tighten everything can cause some problems when trying to mount it near the ceiling (as I did and shown in the attached photo). I…

Weak but functional

I used these to mount a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR surround speakers to a false ceiling. Each of these speakers weighs about 5 pounds, which is right in those brackets. They were on the ceiling for about 6 months and are still holding up perfectly. The main disadvantage of these mounts is the inability to tilt or swivel the speaker more than a few degrees. This is because the speakers are placed so close to the wall that tilting or panning causes the speaker to hit the wall. As a…

Pros
  • Best of its kind
Cons
  • Empty

I bought these to hook satellite speakers to my Monoprice 10565 Premium 5.1 5.1 home theater system with subwoofer. These Monoprice speakers have the speaker mount case threads located directly above the speaker vent, making these mounts less than ideal as the mounts combined with the two mounts completely cover the speaker vent and dampen the speaker. As a workaround, I drilled a 1/4" diameter hole further down the mounting side of the bracket, leaving about 75% of the speaker's air hole open.

Pros
  • Test for one year

  • Doubtful
