Review on πŸ”Š VonHaus Black Wall Mount Speaker Brackets - Set of 2, 7.7lb Weight Capacity, Swivel & Tilt by Johnny Weber

Weak but functional

I used these to mount a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR surround speakers to a false ceiling. Each of these speakers weighs about 5 pounds, which is right in those brackets. They were on the ceiling for about 6 months and are still holding up perfectly. The main disadvantage of these mounts is the inability to tilt or swivel the speaker more than a few degrees. This is because the speakers are placed so close to the wall that tilting or panning causes the speaker to hit the wall. As a countermeasure, I designed and printed some custom standoffs to place these brackets about 1.5 inches from the wall. The problem now is that the mount is so flimsy when mounted upside down (I did this to drop it from the ceiling). that it now has a serious curve. It's held up so far, but a simple die-cast bridge (like an I-beam or something) on the back of the speaker mount would have greatly improved the rigidity. are available at a good price. Therefore, if you install them well and do not forget about the shortcomings, they will work well.
