An excellent, almost excellent camera! Awesome Low-Light Capability -- I really didn't think you could get 42x zoom and such low-light capability with a digital camera. The 42x zoom is probably a bit of an overkill - but if you want it, it's there. I'm still getting used to it, so I know I'm missing some of the niceties of the camera. I bought this particular model for the GPS capability which is quite good especially when using the camera outdoors. I hope the software can be updated with a few tweaks: 1) Ability to turn off the "power" sound - you can change the graphics, but I haven't found a way to turn off the sound. Depending on the venue, this can be a bit disruptive. 2) GPS is specified in "degrees/minutes/seconds" format -- I would like to see the ability to display the "degrees/minutes.decimals" format. Screen and also added to the image. Currently the GPS information is written as part of the image file's properties. Also, if you change the file, the GPS information will be lost. All of my previous digital cameras were pocket-sized, point-and-shoot. Of course they had their positive sides, but their actual photographic possibilities were limited. This camera increases slightly in size and weight but gives you much better image quality. No, it's not a thousand dollar camera and it won't fit in your bag but for me it's my standard now. to the camera. If you don't that can be a little distracting. 2) GPS is specified in "degrees/minutes/seconds" format -- I would like to see the ability to display the "degrees/minutes.decimal" format.
