It was so helpful for the first few months. It hung on the edge of the crib and put my baby to sleep when he woke up in the middle of the night. The volume is adjustable, there are multiple lighting options in case one is too bright or too dim, and the music is soothing. THEN WHAT. The fact that it stays on to listen to your baby to help them get back to sleep means that new batteries, 4 AA, are required every two weeks. If your crib has a thicker top panel, the straps will not fit. And the motor in the rotating picture broke in the first few months. It has never been dropped or damaged, so we think this is a poor production. We paid almost $50 for this product because it is from VTech and we love their products. But we were willing to pay that much because we expected all the features to work for a long time. So now it's basically a night light with music instead of something my kid can see to help him get back to sleep at 2am so I don't have to do it myself. We also spent a small fortune on batteries. If I wanted a basic music night light I could pay $25 and get a great product. We can't replace him because it's been too long. So now we have to spend more money to buy something that works better for us.
