See, I'm far from ruining anyone's hopes and dreams that the system information panel is actually in the system. But that's not it, boss. It's cheaper (depending on where you're looking) than buying parts and doing it yourself. It also ruins your chances of properly diagnosing said things when they don't work properly (because it WILL work, they all do, including DIY). WHAT YOU SHOULD DO INSTEAD -------- BUY A STREAM DECK. Hear me you can get a mini/6 button version for about double the price, this thing is brand new even less used. (And from a REAL company. Corsair/Elgato). Install the Steam Deck software and right within the software itself (no need to search Github or anything) there is a plugin for HWinfo. You install this and HwInfo64 if you don't already have it, you click and drag a button on the stream deck, use the options to choose what to display, how to display it, even how to name it, everything on the Steamdeck buttons. You should be running HWinfo in the system tray (it can be minimized and hidden), but you get MORE options for different aspects of your system, and you can even create multiple pages to show different resources. depending on what you do. BUT this is no different than the software that needs to be running for the panel to work. Differences? I trust HWInfo MUCH MORE than the software they had me download and install to get this thing working. For example. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. I have more information about my processor and memory. along with buttons for PS Tools, Illustrator, etc. But for Resolve Studio and Blender, it's more dedicated to the GPU and memory. Again, the tools are readily available from each application. So for double the price or less, you can easily display the same information without having to maintain software on any of your monitors (especially if you only have one). BUT you also get that information displayed on a highly customizable device that you can use for everything from gaming and productivity to general computing, all with software that is SAFE and from reputable developers and companies. Is that cool? How about a real LCD panel in your system that provides that information? No, but based on my personal experience and the feedback here, this thing is definitely NOT worth what they're asking for if it is offers almost no adjustment and isn't even accurate half the time IF you want an LCD panel in your system there are LOTS of reviews and even websites to help even the novice choose parts, set up, install etc pay more than anything this thing is worth. As with Stream Deck, you have more options, better support from reputable companies, and a much higher chance of it working the way you hoped. Again, I have the exact same device from another Bought site one of the dubious ones I mentioned just for testing purposes I didn't want to spend that asking price even checking something I knew was going to be rubbish even before I put it in my shopping cart. BUT (my usual message to 3rd party and Revain) ALL of these items are made in the same warehouse despite different listings and brands. Anyone who can actually convince themselves of the opposite has serious problems with reality and probably doubts the shape of our planet. Also, the seller and Revain can delete this review as many times as they want just because I don't like people using it. It's saved and monitored so I'll be notified if the seller succeeds with this off, after which I'll just post it again to make sure it's here before someone else spends money on this thing. Sorry seller but don't stock up on junk next time and no need to worry about negative reviews affecting sales. I know this is a new concept for many 3rd party providers but. how everything should be.
