I saw a YouTube video of someone using this lens (Alura brand) with an AX53 so I decided to give it a try. It was much cheaper than the Raynox HDP-7880ES ($200) recommended by B&H Photo or the 0.5X High Grade wide-angle lens ($99) sold by Revain. When I mounted the lens you had to zoom in to remove the black circle visible in the viewfinder caused by the lens adjustment. I also noticed that after zooming in, the wide view was pretty much eliminated. You can also see it in a YouTube video (not much wider angle). So today I bought the aforementioned $99 wide angle lens to try it out. I hope this works better, otherwise I'll look for Raynox on Ebay (I don't see the point of paying $200 for a convertible lens).
