If you're a tall man, read before you buy
Yes, you can skip inserting the support bars, but the hardware you mount in the middle of the California King is anything but easy. Not to mention that there are no instructions for this size. Make sure you have the right tools to tighten everything. Especially the locking levers in the corners! A corner slams and collapses, throwing me straight to the floor. I will buy another frame as soon as possible. I never leave reviews but thought I'd save someone else some heartache. Oh, and if you have hardwood floors, make sure you have non-slip foot grips and a non-slip mattress topper. I have to put it back every time I get up.
