We ordered size XL for our dog and from the other items we have received it is a little big. We love the looks, the bright colors and the Peanuts characters. What we didn't like was that the jacket didn't have a hole for a collar/leash loop, nor a hole in the back to attach a harness loop. So that means we have to wear his harness over the coat that hides the cool Peanuts characters. Bad design. Velcro straps work well and their placement is good. They can be easily adjusted and pulled into the desired position. The length is good, reaching well to the hind legs. It's a bit thin to be considered a winter coat but our dog was warmer than nothing in it. It is made from a two-layer lightweight fleece fabric. Three stars overall - disappointing that it doesn't have the usual collar and belt openings and we wish it was thicker for winter.
