Bought this chair because my previous work chair was at the end of its life and squeaked loudly if you even gave it a funny look. This replacement worked great at first: the finish was about average, comparable to other writing chairs of this type. Unfortunately, less than 3 months of daily use have passed and the pneumatic canister has already lost the ability to withstand any weight on the chair: it rises its full height, but as soon as it sits down, it collapses to a minimum height. Plus it got louder every month. He was completely still for a month, then there was a slight but acceptable creaking when he leaned on his back, and now at 2.5 months he creaks loudly when shifting weight on and off his back (ie leans on her and sits down). In general. Very disappointing product which I thought was a more durable chair which I would not recommend.
