Once I opened the box and inspected the parts I had to repackage and return them. The wood had chips and scratches on many edges. I went ahead and assembled it which wasn't easy because the instructions were written for tiny ant eyes. It was difficult to put the parts together and the screws broke in several places. When almost everything was done, I found that two screws were missing. I had to search the garage for suitable ones. If I really didn't need the shelf, I would return it. If books appear on it, maybe all the scratches and scuffs will be covered, and then it will look better.
