This is a scarf not a shawl or beach cover up. It is too sheer for that. I purchased two different prints & both turned out to be less vibrant in colors than the images provided. I still liked the subdued darker hues. The material is silk but there is very little of it… probably it’s 6mm. The thinnest habotai silk is 8mm & this feels more sheer than that. It is a very elegant scarf that should be used carefully as the material will not withstand daily use… too delicate. The edges have not been very well hemmed & finished as threads are sticking out. Giving it 4 star because of that otherwise it’s very soft cool in summer.
