Review on πŸ’™ Dritz 161 Disc Needle Pullers (3-Count) – Efficient Blue Needle Grip for Seamsters by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

handy for hand sewing denim or other heavy fabrics

I recently had to hand sew jeans. When I added items to my shopping cart (reinforced sewing needles, etc.) they appeared in the recommended items list. They seemed like a reasonable accessory and something I might need, so I bought a pack of these. (Plus, they didn't cost much.) I like them. They're pretty simple, just little bits of silicone or something you wrap around the needle to make it easier to pull through. (This is an alternative to piercing the needle with a thimble from the other end, and I've had fewer injuries than using it than pushing the needle through.) I can get a good grip and pull the needle out without slipping, so I' I am happy. I think this is especially helpful when trying to go over two layers (for example I have a pattern for some hot pads and other kitchen items where adding piping requires something like four layers of denim or other very thick fabric sews). or if you work with upholstery/curtain fabrics. Looks like they'll last a long time. (If you have a silicone baking pan, you know that after a while it starts to fall apart, but you're not going to subject those needle pullers to high temperatures lest they have the same problem.) I wish there was something up to you, as the packaging is not very suitable for long term storage but I will come up with something and this is a minor complaint. (Now they just sit in the box with my hand sewing things.)
