No wonder this camera only has a 90 day guarantee! If it takes that long, it's a miracle. Just a few weeks after our 3 months was up, the camera stopped working. It won't turn on! It doesn't charge! Basically it's dead in the box. Panasonic will happily repair the camera for $90. That's right - after it dies in less than 6 months they will happily charge you an additional $90 to FIX something that was probably wrong when it was made! When I contacted customer service they suggested the following: You pay for the camera repair, send us the repair receipt and proof of purchase and we will check and if necessary we will refund you part or all of the repair costs. I bought this camera for my daughter to use in our church youth ministry. She is very careful - the camera has never been abused, dropped or mishandled. Charged only with chargers from the kit. Panasonic informed me over the phone that this was a KNOWN PROBLEM and that we had done nothing to fix it. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA!
