Perfect fit! If you own a CX-5, you know there's practically no 'good' place to mount your phone for maps, music, etc. This mount actually creates the perfect spot and does it well. how the mount actually holds your phone. The bottom brace basically holds the sides together to hold the phone. But 1) this grip isn't very stable compared to other phone holders, and 2) the side grips are very high up - pretty much where every smartphone these days has volume and power buttons. Previous phone mounts where I've allowed these buttons to be pressed (oh oops, my phone's sound is completely muted!) no problem, but this one requires you to take your phone out of the mount to use the side buttons. . If they lowered the side grips, you could use the buttons on your phone without moving it. But as I said, for the CX-5 this is the best solution I've found. I recommend it to everyone, but I will warn you about minor flaws
