I love the synch waist on these, bc I can leave it loose or tighten if I want some definition. the sides near the waist have a bit of elastic which is nice to sort of hold them up above your hips even without the straps on yet. The straps are also adjustable. But the best part is that they fit my legs in length perfectly. I'm sort of short so I have to roll or hem all my pants, but these are just the right length to hit at the ankle. For reference, I'm 5'3" and ordered a S. The fabric isn't the nicest fabric of all time, but these are so inexpensive, I still consider them a steal! I think I would live in them if I could.
