Update in a month: I liked both the aesthetics and the sound of this amp so much that I decided to try the whole set. Wanted to share a picture. I set the display brightness to the lowest level. I like that I can adjust the volume from each component. The stack is very quiet. At maximum gain, I don't hear any hissing in my most powerful headphones or speakers. Generally good synergy between the components. I write reviews and other parts. Another month later. I hooked it back up to my EL34 tube amp system and am no longer sure which I prefer. I think the break-in time was really important. It's less dry than before. Now I understand that it's just very lively and rhythmic, with a very tight and powerful bass. Soundstage and positioning are excellent on both amps. Loses slightly at mid frequencies. It's more dynamic and the tube more relaxed. I really wasn't sure if I wanted to put a tube amp in again. This amp is a good buy! First Review I first bought the SA300 and sent it back because of the display. So I compared it to him just before sending my return back. I am shocked at the difference. Basically the same manufacturer and the same chip, but very different amplifiers. I think the power supply makes a big difference. First, if you look at the specs, this amp is cleaner, quieter, and more powerful. This amp has better focus, timing, positioning and detail. The sense of space is also better. Really good. It's a bit dry compared to my tube amp, but otherwise pretty decent. I use it with a Q100 KEF which has a brightness of around 10k and the dryness is good. So if you just need an amp. Do not buy SA300. But yes, the display on this one is limited, but it's discreet and really preferable for an amp.
