I wish I would have read more about this product before I purchased it. It has to be unscrewed and screwed back together every time you want to put a new roll of paper towels on it. The color was perfect and the item was sturdy. The only negative was that you need to unscrew the entire center piece every time you need to change a roll of paper towels. The screw is located on the bottom of the round base. I thought that the fork decorative piece would unscrew to allow for a new roll to go on but it doesn’t.

I wanted to write a review to correct a lot of misinformation I am seeing on this product in these reviews. The fork does not need to be removed to replace the paper towel roll. Simply squeeze the roll of paper towels slightly, changing the tube in the middle from a circular to an oval shape, and slide down around the fork. It really wasn't difficult to figure this out.

Looked way better online. I've already switched back to my former paper towel holder. This would be more fitting in an old farm house. The fork looks more like a pitchfork v. a dinnerware fork. My bad :(. Weight is ok.

You will have to remove the screw from the bottom each time you change the paper towels because the roll will not fit over the fork. Also, does not hold rolls larger than an standard roll, i.e. dont buy a large roll of towels will not fit between the fork and the spoon. It is cute, but not practical.

This is a nice addition to my kitchen.It's sturdy and durable, and I have no problem putting paper towels on the holder at all.

only negative is that our paper towel holders do not fit we have to unscrew this everytime. but it is so nice that, this is not an issue.

A tip: In order for the paper towel's tube to fit around the fork holder, without the inconvenience of removing the screw and placing it back again every time, flatten the whole paper towel roll just enough to slide through the fork holder, then re-shape the paper towel roll in its' original form again. I hope, this idea helps. It worked for me. Should have given this product 5 stars, but because of having to do extra work on it, I took back 1 star. Sorry.

This is not user friendly. It won't accommodate a big roll of paper towels. They won't spin and the screw holding the big fork is so small it is hard to to get it all together. The screw needs to be stationary and the tines on the fork need to be smaller so you don't need to take it apart to add a roll of paper towels. It's cute, but that's all it is.

This is really cute. It's definitely metal. However, the bottom is not flat so it's very wobbly. I'm going to keep it because it looks nice but I'm also going to see what I can do to even out the bottom.

I wish that I had read the comments before purchasing. I normally would for most things I purchase. However who would ever think there would be a design flaw in a papertowel holder? I was hesitant when ordering since the product description mentioned that the "fork" had to be unscrewed to change the paper towel roll. I decided I liked it well enough, however, to put up with that inconvenience. What a pleasant surprise that the Viva paper towel rolls that I use drop down easily over the fork holder! No inconvenience, just a sturdy, attractive addition to my new country kitchen.
