I like these lights, they feel heavy and the bulbs are really good, but they are insanely bright and require a dimmer. so I bought the recommended dimmer (Lutron Credenza) without reading the reviews first. BIG MISTAKE. The dimmer never worked properly, the light flickered when first turned on, the dimming didn't work until the switch was halfway up and it kept flickering. Since I use them with Chinese lanterns, I was hesitant to use an incandescent bulb as a solution due to the risk of fire, so I tried adding another filament, hoping the wattage would be high enough to fix it. no bone. I ended up getting another dimmer, a remote controlled dimmer from Kohree (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07F87DH21) and it worked like a dream. Timer settings, gradual dimming (no flickering!) and all this with the remote control. MUCH BETTER.
